The Phantom of the Opera is there (inside my mind)

IN SLEEP HE SANG TO ME Only the OGs know this (I love saying that as if my blog has any readership whatsoever), but I'm actually Indian. Don't get me wrong, I adore my country and I'm very proud of my nation. HOWEVER, the one thing that I don't love is the lack of any broadway shows in my area. Although I have seen some shows when I travel, in general I am limited to proshots and bootlegs when at home in India. That was, until Andrew Lloyd Webbers 'Phantom of the Opera' came to Mumbai's Neeta Ambani's Cultural Centre (NMACC) for short. My parents immediately booked tickets and soon enough we were on a flight to Mumbai.  Before I dive into how the show was, please allow a brief interruption where I will express my thoughts in a more... incomprehensible manner  AWOHAEIRHIAOREHTQERUPOAEGIUEARHGI8H GCUQ GYE OUB LJTROGAIEHIUHE M8GA7REYH GHTR PIVG Okay, now that that's done let's get into the actual show. Well, every time my tiny brain sensed that the end of the movie was incoming I'd just grab the remote and sit still for another 90 minutes of joy. One Direction was such a key part of my childhood, and I'm sad that one-fifth of them is gone. But more importantly, I'm sad that...

Ain't it a fine life carrying the banner through it all  I've probably talked enough about how obsessive I can get, but there are a few obsessions I still haven't divulged, one of those being my newsies phase.  Before you ask, I was obsessed with the 2016 stage show and NOT the 90's movie which I actually considered to be somewhat offensive to the beauty of the Broadway musical. Anyways, I was so obsessed with this show, in ways I truly cannot describe. I reached a point where I was talking along with the proshot. No, not singing along, TALKING ALONG. Yes, I still have much of the dialogue memorized, and even two years later, you can still catch me talking to myself like a psychopath, muttering about the price of papes.  Perhaps the only thing that could get me to leave my house was the overwhelming desire to go to Santa Fe. Honestly, 'Newsies' is just excellent, what's not to love? It's got catchy songs, hilarious moments and extremely loveable charact...
